GREAT VICTORY FOR OUR INDUSTRY
CBA and
RCC have been lobbying on behalf of all merchants
for many years to ensure that government
officials, media and the public understood the
reasons behind some of the price gaps between
products sold in Canada and the United States.
Key
recommendations including the elimination of
import tariffs, the need to better harmonization
regulations between both countries, the need to
eliminate taxes on Canadian books are all
highlighted in the report.
In
addition, thanks to the support of many of our
members, CBA and RCC were successful in shining
the light on country pricing and how this practice
often impacts the price of goods in Canada.

Federal Government to reflect key recommendations
in its upcoming 2013 Budget.
